Getting started

1. Create an account with your email. You can use a password, a sign-in link sent by email, or Google.
2. Confirm your email using the link we send. You need it before buying, and receipts go there.
3. Add a student. The name you enter is printed on their sheets.
4. Find their starting stage with a placement check, or start at the suggested stage.

Making sheets

Open a student and use the Practice tab. The suggested next sheet is at the top. You can also choose any stage, step and sheet you have access to, a 5-sheet set for the week, a whole book, or a test.

Sheets usually take a few seconds to make. Each one has two downloads: the sheet and its answer key. Everything you make stays in the student's list so you can download it again.

Entering a checkpoint

After the student does a checkpoint (sheet 5 of a step), a placement check or a stage test, open the Checkpoint tab, choose the sheet, and enter how many were correct and how long it took. Math Ladder applies the rules from how it works and shows what to print next. For Stage 1 tracing checkpoints, mark them as passed or not yet.

Entered something wrong? Delete it from the history in the Progress tab and enter it again.

Printing

• Print at 100% or "actual size" on US Letter paper.
• If a PDF opens in the browser instead of downloading, use the browser's print or download button.
• Books are long. Check the page count before printing the whole thing.

Purchases

• Purchases are made per student in the Shop. Pick the student first.
• Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Receipts are emailed and are always on your Orders page as a PDF.
• Have an access code? Enter it on the student's Settings tab.

Your account

• Forgot your password? Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in page, or sign in with an emailed link.
• Change your email or password, download your data, or delete your account on the Account page.
• Archive a student you are not using to hide them without losing their progress.
