Math Ladder

Privacy policy

Effective October 12, 2026

The short version: Math Ladder is for adults who print practice sheets for their students. We collect as little as we can, we never sell or share it for advertising, we use no analytics or trackers, and you can download or delete your data at any time from your Account page.

Who we are

Math Ladder (mathladder.net) is run by John Clos, a sole proprietor in the United States ("we", "us"). Questions about privacy go to support@mathladder.net.

Who the service is for

Accounts are only for adults 18 or older: parents, guardians, tutors and teachers. Students do not have accounts, do not sign in, and do not give us any information themselves. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 13. If you believe a student has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

What we collect and why

About you

About your students

You decide what to enter. A parent or guardian entering this information consents to us using it as described here.

We do not ask for, and you should not enter, a student's birthday, school, address, photo or any other details.

Free sheets without an account

When you make a free Stage 3 sheet without an account, we store the sheet with your IP address so we can apply the free-use limits. These sheets and their IP addresses are deleted after 14 days.

Errors and security logs

If something breaks, we record the error, the page it happened on and technical details from the browser or server. We also keep a log of sign-ins, failed sign-ins and administrative actions to protect accounts.

What we do not do

Cookies and storage

We use only the cookies needed to run the service: one that keeps you signed in, and a short-lived one during Google sign-in. Your browser also stores your theme, your shopping cart and your list of free sheets on your device. None of these are used for tracking.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run Math Ladder for us, and only what each needs:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the service.

Security

The site uses HTTPS everywhere. Passwords are hashed with Argon2, sign-in links expire quickly and work once, and administrative access requires two-step sign-in. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you promptly.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
